We've all taken a turn riding this roller-coaster we call life. Some peoples rides are longer then others, but nonetheless when things are in a spiral it would be nice to just pull an emergency break. But, unfortunately that is not an option we have available. The option we do have though is to adjust.
Change comes in many shapes and sizes. There's the kind that we expect and then the kind that hits us blindly. It can leave us feeling confused, overwhelmed, and or lost. At these times it seems easy to give up or give in. Yet, why let go of everything we've worked for because of a hiccup in the plans?
We shouldn't.
Our plans may not follow through and the execution may encounter a bump or two or twenty. However, the choice to embrace change and modify the route that we take is constantly there.
Never fear pursuing your wants and dreams just because things aren't going as intended.
With a little hard work and determination to adjust, we'll be well on the way to our destination.
Questions of the Day:
1) How does/has change affected you?
2) Do you feel it's important to push forward?
3) What things help you adjust to life's ups and downs?

Great Post Nichole, and thanks for the comments over on my blog. I totally agree with you, I found out today that I didnt get a job that I interviewed for, but you cant let set backs stop you from moving forward. I am sure that a better job will come along that is more suited to me..... 'If it's meant to be' :) xx

I'm so sorry to hear that Emma. Sending you well wishes for the next one. But you are so right, the one that is meant to be will happen when it is supposed to. You're attitude about it is so wonderful!:)
DeleteI think the older I get the more I believe that what is meant to be will be. Even if you don't take a direct route, you will end up on the right path. I think about jobs I wanted and didn't get or relationships I thought would last forever and didn't. It seemed terrible in the moment, but if those things hadn't happened I wouldn't have ended up where I am now with the people I have now in my life.
ReplyDeleteSO true! I think the same all the time. I will think back in weaker moments and this but why did this relationship end or why was this that way, but when I look to the now it all makes sense. We tend to put the past on a pedestal so it seems better then where we are. I've tried to work on not doing that a lot lately.
DeleteI think perseverance is key in order to get through anything. Great post Nichole! <3
ReplyDeleteThanks Alhana! I definitely agree.
DeleteI always find myself just going with the flow, just accepting what has happened & dealing with it :) xxxx
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome for you! Not a super easy thing to do. I've definitely made it a goal of mine over time to go with the flow!
DeleteI'm not very good at embracing change at all! I wish I could but it just makes me feel so unsure an anxious!

Completely understandable!! It is normal to feel uneasy in the unknown.. It's something I work on too! I've gotten better but not great. For me, it's taking little things at a time…even if it's one big thing.
DeleteYou are very insightful Nichole! As always, thanks for linking up. I enjoy reading your posts!
ReplyDeleteThank you so so much!!
