MIMM #14 {New Experiences}

Hey everyone! How was your weekend?? I'm hope you're answering with things like fun, exciting, relaxing, or stress-free. But hey, why don't you let me know how it was for yourself. I'd much rather hear it from you then sitting over here assuming! :) My weekend was…well, here's the highlight reel!

Friday:
Was filled with marking things off the to-do list, leaving me feeling pretty accomplished. The most special part of the day however, was giving a speech at a youth lock-in. About a month ago my friend Bree asked me to speak and tell my story at a lock-in she was coordinating for middle and high schoolers. I felt privileged having her ask me to do this, but was very nervous at the same time as I had never done anything like that before. It went so well and I was honored to be there.

My friends Bree (left) and Logan (right)!

Bree's friend Jetty Rae performed at the lock-in and brought CD's to hand out.

Saturday:
I woke up excited Saturday morning as I was off to an appearance at a charity golf-outing. It was for Adopt-A-Pet and I was ready to play with some animals! We got there and found out the animals had all been adopted the day before at the zoo (yay for them)! Except, there was one adorable puppy who was in a car accident a few weeks ago and had to have her back left leg amputated. She was a sweetheart! The rest of the day was filled with relaxing and family time. I also got a new camera!

The cutie and fighter Delilah. <3

New camera!

My mom came across the amazing deal and it was too good to pass up.

Family friendly competition of Cranium - first time ever playing.

Sunday:
Started off by going to church with my family and after then headed home to cross more things off the to-do list. While working, I was watching my new series obsession on Netflix...Gossip Girl!

Thought my nails could use some spring fun!

Ended the night by starting my new book, Gone Girl.

Lastly, I have some news I am thrilled to share with you all!

I recently have been approved as an affiliate for the b Positive Project. Not only do they have awesome apparel and accessories, the company stands for the exact reason why I began this blog!

The story behind the name - from the site.

"The b Positive Project is not just another apparel company with a snazzy logo; we’re also a lifestyle and an attitude. We believe in creating products that inspire people to live positively and with purpose. But don’t get it twisted, we’re not here to tell you what’s right or what’s wrong, how to live your life, or that life is always good.
It doesn’t matter who you are or where you are from, we all deal with adversity. Just when you think life is good…BAM! It punches you in the face. We believe those moments define our character and those who wear our gear.
Living life positively and with purpose is a choice that we have to make everyday. That choice is our way of life — it is what separates us from the rest."

Head on over and check it out, you won't be sorry!

What made the highlight reel of your weekend??

    1. I hope she gets adopted too…she was such a sweetie! They said they have to amputate her other back leg, but were going to do everything they could to not have to. I'm hoping she is okay!

    1. I was so excited when I discovered them and even more excited when they came back and approved me! :) I love the message they are trying to get out there! And thank you! That was the first time I tried anything "different" like that on my own for my nails. The secret was using a toothpick! It worked so well! Cranium was a blast!
