MIMM #20 {Trip Recap #2 - Venice}

Hi and happy Monday!! I'm excited to continue sharing some of my trip today but first, did you all have a marvelous weekend?? I'd love to hear what your favorite weekend highlights were so be sure to tell me down in the comments! After all that is what Monday's are all about…celebrating the happy weekend times. :) My weekend was pretty good. The highlight was most definitely seeing "Step Up All In" on Saturday night. The Step Up series is one I am quite obsessed with so you can imagine I was long awaiting this release! If you are into those types of movies its a high recommendation!

Alright, so since I'm over here bursting with anticipation to get to the recap lets get to it shall we?!

The first 3 days of our trip were spent in Venice. We had so much fun exploring the city. With each and every turn there was another site that took your breath away and the Italian architecture is incredible! One fun fact about Venice is that the "roads" are water canals - bridges and water taxis are the mode of transportation from one area to another. The stops for the water taxi are organized and made much like a bus system. I think by day 3 we had it figured out! My only regret is that I didn't have prior knowledge of the Italian language.  I picked up some along the way, but I wish I would have taken time before the trip learn key words and phrases and be able to communicate better.

Day 1: San Marco

Day 2: Islands of Murano (Glass Island) and Burano (Lace Island)

Look who I ran into?! Kayla was in Italy a week prior and it just so happened her trip overlapped ours so we were able to meet up!

Day 3: St. Mark's Basilica and Campanile (Bell Tower)

Had to go out big for my last pasta dish in Italy!

Coming up next week… Boarding our Mediterranean Cruise!

What was the highlight of your weekend?

❤ Nichole

  10. I was in Italy this summer as well. We stayed in Tignale at Lake Garda and I can only agree with you when it comes to Italian architexture. It´s definitely incredible. I also loved the food over there and I won´t eat non-Italian pizza ever again, it just can´t be as good.
