VIIcode Eye Mask Review

About a month ago I was contacted by VIIcode to review their Oxygen Eye Masks. I was excited when I read about the product I was going to be receiving as it was said to help dark circles, under eye bags, puffiness and wrinkles. My eyes have a combination of bags & puffiness at times, especially with my allergies and I have been in search for a good eye cream/treatment.

6 masks come in a box which is about 3 weeks of treatment since you can use it 2 to 3 times a week. I was recommended to use it twice a week and that is the regiment I went with. The packaging is really easy to open and application of the masks was a piece of cake. Each night it literally took me less than 5 minutes to do after I washed my face. I think one of the things I liked most about these masks is they are intended to be worn while you sleep aka perfect for a busy lifestyle!

I really did like these masks. I noticed a decrease in the puffiness of my eyes and the bags becoming less visible. Every morning that I took off the masks my eyes felt energized and refreshed. Unfortunately these are a little out of my price range for regular use, but I can see myself purchasing them once or twice a year and giving my eyes a little treat!

Thank you to VIIcode for reaching out to me and giving me the chance to work with you!

#XOVoxBox :: Influenster Review

I always get excited when I see an email come through from Influenster with a survey attached with the opportunity of a Vox Box! The latest survey I filled out was for the XO Vox Box, which I was lucky enough to receive. I had never tried any of the products that were inside the box and I couldn't wait to dive in!

What Was Inside!

John Frieda Beach Blonde Collection ($9.99) :: When I saw I had received the beach blonde set from John Frieda I couldn't of been happier, especially about the sea salt spray. I've quickly fallen in love with Garnier Fructis' Beach Spray so I'm intrigued to try the John Frieda and compare the two.

John Frieda Luxurious Volume 7 Day Volume In-Shower Treatment ($9.99) :: I will always accept a chance to add a little volume to my hair! My hair seems relatively thick, but it is mostly just a lot of little strands which do lack volume. I'm waiting to give this one for a couple weeks when life slows a little that way I can really see how much volume is added.

Skinfix Hand Repair Cream ($10.00) :: After the winter we have had you can assume that this went directly into my purse, because it did! I have a difficult time with the skin around my nail beds and I personally have noticed the skin becoming softer. The one thing I wasn't a huge fan of was the residue left after rubbing the cream in, but for better feeling hands I'll take it!

Colgate Optic White Toothbrush + Built-In Whitening Pen ($14.99) :: I'm not able to use at home white strips because my teeth are too sensitive and for days after with every breath I take they hurt. I've used the whitening pen a couple times already and haven't noticed any sensitivity...score!

Colgate Optic White Express White 3 oz. Toothpaste ($3.99-$4.99) :: I've never noticed too much of a difference from whitening toothpastes over the years, but I plan to use this as directed for 4 weeks at minimum and hope to notice a whiter smile. If it does you'll definitely see this show up in a Friday Favorites post because I've been in search of a good whitening toothpaste for some time now.

Tide Pods Plus Febreze ($4.99-$14.99) :: I have noticed these in the store since the summer time and always wondered how well they would work, but never took the step into purchasing them. I wasn't sure if it made sense price + value wise to make the switch. Now I have the chance to find out!

Thanks Influenster for an awesome box!

Questions of the Day:
1) Which of these products have you used before?
2) Are there any that you haven't, but would like to?

Date Crate To The Rescue

With Valentine's Day just around the corner, well..tomorrow, the subject of what to do and what to get has to be on one's mind. If you don't have the knack for it, planning dates and picking out gifts can be difficult. Man Crates is a company that works to make this process simpler and not to mention fun! They have various themed "crates" full of goodies. The crates can work to provide a guy with the necessities for a date and or can be a great gift purchase for a girl who can't decide what to buy her guy. If the idea of a crate such of this isn't already unique enough the packaging sure does set them apart! Yes, you guessed it all the "stuff" comes packaged in a crate. The catch? The crate has to be opened via a crowbar and for an additional cost wrapped with duct tape. Different from the usual and fun right!

I was contacted not to long ago by Man Crates to see if I would brainstorm some date ideas and write a post sharing my recommendations. Well, I've  brainstormed and here it goes!

Sunset, Dinner & A Wish

Who doesn't love watching a pretty sunset? I know I do. There is so much peace in getting lost watching the sky colors change until the sun disappears below the horizon. Pair that with dinner, pure perfection.

If you want some help with dinner make sure to check out the Grill Master Crate.

To continue the evening after the sun goes down why not have a wish lantern waiting in the car to light off together. Also, be sure to have a sharpie so you both can write a wish before you send it off.

Playing to One's Interest
A date idea that I tend to think can get overlooked is catering the whole night to the things your significant other likes and enjoys. It shows thoughtfulness for the one you are with and care that you took the time to plan something specifically for them.

If you date is a gamer the crate that could help personalize the night would be the Super Retro Gamer

RedBox Date Crate
You can never fail with the classic movie night. It works on so many different occasions especially if it's been a long week or someone is sick. Grab a movie, snacks, and pop the popcorn. If you want to add a little more to the date to set it apart from the usual, light some candles around the couch.

Check out The Snack Pack Crate which has most all of the movie night essentials!

Whose looking forward to their next date night right now?! I want to say thank you to Man Crates for giving me the opportunity to get a little creative and share some date crate ideas of my own!

What type of date nights do you enjoy the best?!

#SurfsUpVoxBox :: Influenster Review

It finally happened, I signed up for Influenster! I had seen their name pop quite often throughout the blogosphere and instead of continuing to wonder what it was all about, I took the leap to find out for myself. In case you are not familiar with Influenster either, it is a site which is completely free to register for and use. The trick you ask? All they require/ask of you is be actively engaged on the site and by doing so you receive the chance to be sent a VoxBox that contains sample products to review. And let me just say, I'm very excited to be doing my first ever review post today!

About 2 weeks ago I received an email from Influenster asking me to participate in a survey. Last week I received another email from them letting me know I was chosen to participate in a summer themed box. *insert anticipation build here* On Sunday I received my Surf's Up VoxBox in the mail!

What was inside!

Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration After Sun ($2.99-2oz):: Summer fun is here which means sunburns are probably in the future. A few Friday's back I had mentioned the topic of aloe and a blogging buddy of mine Carly suggested I try out this exact product. How crazy that I happened to receive it in my box! Although I haven't used this on my skin yet, I can tell you that it smells wonderful!

Sinful Colors Professional Nail Polish in Firefly ($1.99):: I've shared recently my pretty large obsession with nail polish so when I saw this in the box I was excited to add another color to my collection. I love this color for summer and honestly do not have anything like it. I instantly had to experiment! The application was mostly smooth with a few air bubble here and there that went away with another swipe of the brush. I think what I like most about this one is the subtle touch of sparkle it has. It is not over the top where it's obvious you are wearing sparkle polish, but there is just enough for when the sun hits the nails you can see a shimmer! All I needed to cover my nail was 2 coats.

Covergirl Bombshell Curvaceous by LashBlast Mascara in Very Black ($9.49-11.99):: I am always interested in trying out new mascaras as there are tons of different kinds on the market. When I read what this product was meant to do (volume, curl & intensity) I felt as if it was hand-picked for me! I have lashes that are on the longer side so a mascara with curl and volume is always appreciated. Now for trying it out! I loved how evenly the brushes made each of my lashes. I also only had one small encounter with clumping. I can tell you that this mascara lived up to its word of "curvaceous." My eyelashes seriously looked as if I had used a curler on them (see picture below).

First Aid Shot Therapy ($2.99):: When I first took this out of the box I had absolutely no idea what it was! After reading I came to realize that this was liquid pain reliever. It says that it is commonly used for headaches/migraines, sore muscles, and back pain. I tend to get my most severe headaches when there is sudden weather change such as; day one being sunny, bright, and clear while day two is dark, rainy, and gloomy. My plan is to save this for one of those days, but I'm intrigued!

Jamba Juice Smoothie Kits ($2.99-3.49):: The last items I have to share with you all that was in my Surf's Up VoxBox is a few coupons for smoothie kits by Jamba Juice. Smoothies are a must for summer so I can't wait to get to the store and use these. Additionally, I have never bought a frozen smoothie kit before, I usually make my own, and I can't wait to give it a taste!

Coupon #1 is for one free all natural smoothie kit - eye is on Razzamatazz
• strawberry, blueberry, and raspberry with non-fat yogurt

Coupon #2 is for $1 off one all natural or fruit and veggie smoothie kit - eye si on Green Fusion
• green apple, mango, pineapple, kiwi, banana, broccoli and spinach

Questions of the Day?
1) Have you used any of these products?
2) Which from the box would you like to try?
3) Do you or have you used Influenster?
