Friday Favorites #7: Week 4/11/14

Hip hip hooray! 3 cheers for Friday!

Before we get into the things we have been loving this week, I have a little funny to share. I saw this and wanted to pass along a laugh for the day.

His reactions to the car wash is priceless.

Now...time to get to business!

--Spring Weather
Spring is in the air and this girl is all smiles about it! We have had some beautiful weather these past few days. We have hit over 50 degrees and the sun has been out and shinning. Yesterday when I was headed to the gym I even was able to ditch the pants and jacket for the walk in. I left my house in my shorts and t-shirt feeling more then comfortable! It was so nice that I couldn't help but to drive with the windows down either!

--Working Out
Working out has always been one of my favorites. Whether it be at the gym, at home, or at dance. It has always been my me time; regardless of what's going on around me when I am working out nothing else seems to matter. Since I'm still trying to kick off this last bit of my cold (almost gone!) I knew a little exercise to sweat it out would be a good. So, cardio and abs it was!

--Loreal Sublime
I have never really used self-tanners for fear of messing up. However, when the dance season started several of my teammates had numerous tips on the how-to and what-to. There were quite a few recommendations for Loreal Sublime so I figured I would give it a try. The first time I used it I instantly liked the product. It looked so natural and went on very even! I always put it on at night, let it dry, sleep in it and then shower the next morning. The only place I ever see extra product is on the palm on my hand and it is not bad at all! I have heard of girls using gloves to avoid that though. I recently started using this again and remembered how much I loved it. The first night I used it was Tuesday and the next day my boyfriend's mom asked me if I had recently gotten a spray tan. I used it again Wednesday night and on Thursday my boyfriend mentioned how I looked about 3 shades tanner!

Check it out here
--Shellac
On Monday I posted about how my mom and I had a manicure date over the weekend. I decided to try shellac for the first time. I went with a very light color just because I wasn't sure what to expect. I really liked it! A day short of a week later and it is still looking as good! I have always struggled with chipping nail polish of at home manicures. I love the idea of shellac that it is over my natural nail and I don't have to worry about the chipping!

  5. Your nails are so pretty! I love the glitter/shimmer! I used that self tanner years ago and had forgot about it until you just posted about it! I might need to give it another try because I've not had good luck with other self tanners!

    1. Thank you!! I have been really satisfied with the shellac so far!! I can't wait to try another color next time I go. I haven't used others to compare it with, but the girls on the team did and that was one of their top recommendations and I haven't had any issues with it so far!
